DEMOKRASI DALAM PANDANGAN KRISTEN

Abstract

Democracy is a popular power system in this modern period. Democracy is people sovereignty in which sovereignty of people holding the higest in running and controlling their state. In Indonesia political history, democracy is always implemented since Indonesia independence, and in fact, is supported by Indonesia Christian as well. The Christian even has active participation in endorsing democracy. However, analysis is needed in setting Christian position before democracy. The study was conducted on the democracy principal, biblical study of democracy, and the Christin leader view to democracy. The result concluded that the Christian need to endorse demoracracy due to the main democracy principal is respect to the human right and diversity. However on the principle in majority, the Christian has to be critical, that the majority is not always the truth
