REFLEKSI ALKITABIAH FENOMENA GLOSSOLALIA

Abstract

The study about glossolalia phenomenon in theological domain has been struggled as long as the history of church made her path on this world. The polemic nuance surrounded has been occuring to the present time, both in polite term and frontally, often within cynicism and discredited recrimination. The Pentacost or Charismatic which always been accused to be heretic, has been striving to make an apologetic according to their theological main frame. Honestly, many various doctrines about glossolalia within Pentacost or Charismatic have confused them alone. Therefore, this paper will give contribution for explaining every theological polemic which has been thriving along the ages. This research will use a description method with historical and philosophical approaches in understanding glossolalia concept and its history from Bible time to the present, and also theological exposition at the text of Acts 2:1-13 and 1 Corinthians 12-14, for acquiring biblical understanding contextually.
