Abstract

Pentacostalism constituted the phenomenon which took attention of many churches, both within pentacostal/charismatics or outsiders. One of the phenomenons which always occurrs in charismatic service is people will fall down when they are prayed for. Generally, they call it falling in Spirit. This paper will explain this pentacostal phenomenon of people falling in Spirit, either in biblical perspective or the attitude of recent modern churches. It will use a descriptive-explainative method, for describing and explaining what is the meaning about falling in spirit phenomenon. For judging the phenomenon, will employ theological analysis method, with Bible as the judgment norm, searching some references of biblical explaination. And, eventually, the inductive method will be used to conclude this research.
